CEF Construction Excellence Awards finalists

31 August 2009 | 12:45

Lagan Construction has achieved double success with 2 contracts shortlisted as finalists in the CEF Construction Excellence Awards.

The competition, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year, received a record number of entries even though the industry is facing the most difficult trading conditions in a generation.

A Showcase of Finalists event was held in early September and at Victoria Square, Belfast. Representing Lagan Construction at this event were:

Utilities Category Finalist: Martin Cosgrove & Neil McKenzie with ‘Balycolman Flood Alleviation Pumping Station’

Transport Category Finalist: Chris Donnelly & Ken Maxwell with ‘Newcastle Streetscape’.

In addition, the Balycolman Flood Alleviation Pumping Station scheme has also been short listed as a finalist in the Bonus Category.

We wish both teams the best of luck as they await the announcement of the winners at the Gala Dinner in October!
