Irish President Mary McAleese received a sneak preview of the London 2012 Olympics site in March.

During her hour-long visit, the Irish President had the opportunity to visit Olympic Park construction site, which includes Lagan Construction’s contract to build the central park pedestrian access iconic footbridge.

Ms McAleese also had the opportunity to meet some of the Irish contractors who have secured work on the huge site in Stratford, east London. Lagan Construction’s Regional Director, Simon Jukes, was delighted to meet with the Irish President and outline our involvement in delivering the infrastructure for the 2012 games.
